GLUE CLEAN AND GLUE CLEAN SPECIAL

The difficulty of removing glues and adhesive tape from floors is a well-known problem that is mainly caused by the use of solvents and the method of working which requires a large amount of labour.

The long work times derive from the fact that only small areas can be cleaned at any one time due to the speed of evaporation of the solvents and the need to remove the dissolved or disgregated layer of glue by hand.

The use of traditional solvents for removing glue can be dangerous for people and the environment as they are flammable, poisonous, irritate the skin and eyes and pollute the environment (especially when oil-based products or chlorates are used). It should also be considered that cleaning is generally done in closed surroundings.

GLUE CLEAN
and GLUE CLEAN SPECIAL are not dangerous for people or the environment. The two products differ only as regards concentration and process times.

Apply GLUE CLEAN to the residues using a special piece of equipment
(produced by IKADO) called GEL JET. This only covers just the required parts with product, thereby accelerating application times and eliminating product wastage.

After covering the area to clean, check it after a while to see if the product has acted. Then remove the residues both mechanically (one run with a washer-dryer) and manually with the help of a brush and water.

It should also be noted that the gel, due to its slow evaporation, makes it easier to programme work and allows just one person to carry out cleaning operations even on large surfaces.

The attached photos show details of the process.
